Executive Director, Houston Port Authority
Roger Guenther was well prepared to lead the Port of Houston. A graduate of Horace Mann Junior High, and Robert E. Lee High School, Roger first joined the Port Authority in 1988. Since that time, Guenther Served in capacities related to facilities management, including master planning of the Bayport Container Terminal, redevelopment of the existing Barbours Cut Terminal, and procurement of all container handling cranes and equipment over the last two decades. As director of one of the busiest ports in foreign cargo tonnage, he oversees all port aspects so it remains one of the most dynamic economic centers in the US.
