United States Circuit Judge
Jennifer Walker Elrod grow up in Baytown and attended Cedar Bayou Junior and Ross S. Sterling High School. After Graduating magna cum laude from Baylor University in 1988, and graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1992. She began her career with a two-year clerkship for federal district judge Sim Lake. After this she became an associate at Baker Botts in 1994. In 2007, President George W. Bush nominated Elrod to a vacancy on the Fifth Circuit and was confirmed by the Senate. She maintains chambers in Houston, Texas.
